We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their due compensation...\" [Al-Aḥzāb: 50]. This is part of their great virtues, since Allah, exalted be He, chose them to be the wives of His Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe, exalted be He, also said about them: \"...and his wives are their mothers...\" [Al-Aḥzāb: 6] This is another of their virtues that Allah granted them, namely to be the Mothers of the believers. Moreover, He, exalted be He, also describes them in the Quran, saying: \"O wives of the Prophet!
