"15- The merit of those who are patient when losing a child.
Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said: "There is no Muslim who loses three young children (who have not yet reached the age of puberty) without Allah admitting him to Paradise because of the compassion he felt towards them." In this hadith, children include both boys and girls.
'Abd Allah ibn Mas'oud reported that the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said: "Who among you do you consider as raqoub? We said: It is the one who cannot have children. The Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said: That is not raqoub. But it is the one who is not preceded by any of his children (meaning none of his children die before him)."
16- Whoever loses three children will find them standing as a barrier between him and the Fire on the Day of Judgment, and he will enter Paradise.
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said: "Whoever loses three children before they reach the age of puberty will find them as a barrier between him and the Fire, and he will enter Paradise."
In the collection of Muslim, the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said to a woman who had lost three of her children: "You have protected yourself from the Fire with a strong barrier."
'Outba ibn 'Abd reported that the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said: "Every Muslim who loses three young children (before puberty) will find them at the gates of Paradise. They will invite him to enter through one of the eight gates of his choice."
17- Whoever loses two children will enter Paradise.
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said to the women of the Ansar: "None of you loses three of her children, hoping for reward, without entering Paradise." One of them asked: And two, O Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon Him)? He replied: And two."
Imam an-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Other versions not found in the collection of Muslim mention only one child."
Abou Sâlih Dhakwâne reports from Abou Sa'îd al Khoudry: "A woman came to the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon Him)! Men have monopolized all your speeches. Dedicate one of your days to us so that you may teach us what Allah has taught you."
