Description
Whoever dies upon Islam (as a Muslim) will have Paradise, either at the very first moment if he has no sin, or after the punishment that Allah decrees for him because of the sins upon which he died, if Allah does not forgive them.
Therefore, there is no salvation except with Islam.
Allah the Most High said in His Book (the meaning of the translation is):
“And whoever desires a religion other than Islam—it will never be accepted from him.” [Surah Aal ‘Imran, 85]
And thus whoever dies upon other than Islam (being something other than Muslim), even if he has acts of obedience as great as mountains, they are null and void.
Allah the Most High said in His Book (the meaning of the translation is):
“And We shall turn to the deeds they performed, and We shall make them scattered dust.” [Surah Al-Furqan, 23]
Tawhid is absolutely necessary; the testimony La ilaha illa Allah (none is truly worthy of worship except Allah) is absolutely necessary, and the testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah is absolutely necessary. One must enter Islam with the heart and the body, and after that, with actions.
Thus, whoever is upright in his actions will enter Paradise at the very first moment, and whoever has shortcomings in certain obligatory actions or has committed sins that Allah has forbidden will be under the Will of Allah: if Allah wills, He forgives him; and if Allah wills, He punishes him according to the sins he has.
